  1. Mac OS

Mac OS gives a convenient, built-in screen-recording tool. Also, it is resourceful feature of QuickTime. To with your Mac OS, open the QuickTime application and click File.  You will see this sign > New Screen Recording.

Click the little menu to the right of the Record button and choose if you want to capture audio from your microphone in the video, too. This helps you to narrate along with your actions. Click the Record button to start recording.

QuickTime will minimize itself to a small icon on the right side of your menu bar and start recording. Click Stop when you finish, preview and save your video. You can as well use this to edit and trim your videos.

Linux

One of the best open-source tools for Linux is RecordMyDesktop. You can install this from the Ubuntu Software Center or your Linux distribution’s package management interface. After that launch and use its options to choose video and audio quality levels. It allows you to record your entire desktop or a small portion of it. Further, it has a simple interface and the very best recording options.

For advanced options or professional use, go for Open Broadcaster Software. It has a version for Linux, Windows and Mac OS.It is very useful for live-streaming on your desktop, PC or laptop.

Android

With Android, you can record your screen in many ways. You can easily download an app with screen recording features. One of those apps is AZ Screen Recorder. This app has many features that help you to ensure quality video, watermark, voice recording and video camera.

iPhone or iPad

Actually, recording with iPad or iPhone can be done in 2 ways. You can do an official recording with a Mac or an official one on Windows PC. But this feature is only available for Mac users. Developers specifically use it to capture their apps in action and IOS.

For those who have Mac and iPhone or iPad, connect your iPhone or iPad to it and use the QuickTime app to capture the screen. Select File and go to New Movie Recording and click the menu button next to the record button. Proceed to choose the connected to iOS device.

However, if you don’t have Mac, use AirPlay mirroring software like LonelyScreen to view your iPhone or iPad’s screen on your desktop and record it with your window screen.
